Signed Entertainment now proudly offers individual "Deaf and Hard of Hearing Friendly" classes and certifications! The curriculum we use has been created based on the current laws concering Americans with disabilities and input and scrutiny from the deaf community itself. Our course consists of a two hour class taught by a deaf interpretor, a course book containing the signs relevant to your particular profession, and a somewhat intensive written and "on the job" examination conducted by the instructor after you've had time to study and practice what you learned. Upon successful completion of the examination, you will be a card-carrying, registered "S.E.E. Certified" professional and will be listed on our web site as such.
Being S.E.E. Certified as Deaf and Hard of Hearing Friendly will not only help you overcome your handicap (yes, it's your handicap) when it comes to communicating with and relating to your patrons from the deaf community, but it will also open doors to sources of business that you've previously been unable to open.
